What is WooCommerce
WooCommerce is an open-source plugin for WordPress that enables users to create and manage their online stores. It provides a user-friendly interface for setting up and managing an online store, including product listings, payment gateways, and shipping options. With WooCommerce, users can customize their store's design, functionality, and features using a range of free and paid plugins and extensions. It is a highly flexible platform ideal for small to medium-sized businesses that want to sell products online without the need for technical knowledge or programming skills. WooCommerce is a popular choice among e-commerce entrepreneurs due to its ease of use, robust features, and extensive support community. You can learn more about WooCommerce through their website.
Obtaining your API Keys from WooCommerce
2. Once logged in, navigate to the "WooCommerce" tab on the left-hand side of the screen and select "Settings."
3. From there, click on the "Advanced" tab and then select "Rest API." Next, click on the "Add Key" or the "Create an API Key" button.
4. You will then be prompted to define the API "Key Details." In the "Description" field, you can enter anything you want to help you remember what the key is for. However, it's important to set the "Permissions" field as "Read/Write."
5. After entering the key details, click on the "Generate API key" button; then, the "Consumer Key" and "Consumer Secret" will be displayed. Copy these keys and enter them in the required fields in your Despatch Cloud app.
