Obtaining your API Keys from Squarespace
- Log in to your Squarespace store using your login credentials.
- Once logged in, navigate to the Home Menu and click "Settings".
- From the Settings menu, select "Advanced".
- Click "Developer API Keys" within the Advanced menu.
- Click the "Generate Key" button in the Developer API Keys menu.
- Enter a descriptive name for your new API Key in the "Key Name" field.
- Next, select the appropriate permissions for the API key based on your needs. For the Squarespace Channel setup, choosing "Read and Write" permissions for Products, Inventory, and Orders are recommended.
- Once you have selected the appropriate permissions, click the "Generate Key" button to create the API Key.
- After you click "Generate Key," Squarespace will display a unique API Key on the screen. Copy the key, as it will only be shown once.
