QZ Tray (OSX)

In order to set up QZ Tray, please follow the steps outlined below. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to us.

Installing Java

First, it is important to note that Java is required for QZ Tray to function properly. To install Java, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Java Download page.
  2. Click on the Mac OS X download icon to download the installation file as highlighted in the picture below.
  3. Execute the downloaded jre-8u333-macosx-x64.dmg file to begin the installation process.

Installing QZ Tray

After Java has been installed, please proceed to the QZ Tray Download page. On this page, you will find the latest stable release (indicated by the green button on the left with a red arrow pointing to it; the orange button on the right is a pre-release version and is not recommended). For example, in the screenshot below, the latest stable release is v2.1.

  1. Click on the latest stable release to download the installation file.
  2. Execute the downloaded qz-tray-2.1.6+3.pkg file to begin the installation process.

Once QZ Tray and Java have been successfully installed, you will need to locate the small QZ Tray icon that should now appear at the bottom of your screen (or at the top, depending on the computer you are using). Click on the icon and select the option "Automatically Start."

As the final step, you will need to restart your browser in order to begin using QZ Tray.

Please note that in order to set up QZ Tray with Despatch Cloud, you must have login credentials for your Despatch Cloud account.
