Accessing the Plugins Page

Click the "Plugins" button in the left-hand menu to access it.

Anansi Installation

To initiate the installation process, click on the Anansi icon. If you have any prior installations, they will be displayed in the pop-up window. If not, the system will prompt you to add a new connection. Click on "Add New" to proceed.

In this section, you'll be prompted to provide the following details, each explained below:

  • Is Active: Toggle this option to activate or deactivate the plugin. If set as active, the plugin will be available for use; otherwise, it won't affect shipments.
  • API Account: Choose the API Account you want the plugin to work with. Further information about API Accounts can be found on the dedicated documentation page.
  • Anansi API Key: Paste the API key obtained from Anansi here, or leave it empty to use the default API key.
  • Policyholder ID: Obtain this ID from the Anansi platform and paste it into this field.
  • Enable Reseller Mode: If you operate as a third-party logistics provider (3PL), you can extend Anansi insurance coverage to all your clients through this option. You'll be prompted to input the client's account ID from the WMS and their Policyholder ID upon activation. In the WMS, new services must be configured to enable insurance settings at a service level by toggling "Use 3rd Party Insurance Provider" to "Enabled," followed by selecting "Select 3rd Party Insurance Provider."
  • Sign Up for Anansi: This button redirects you to the Anansi sign-up page.

After clicking "Create," your connection details will be saved, and you'll return to the previous pop-up page. Here, you can view the connection you just created and choose to activate or deactivate it, edit the details, or delete the connection using the available options.

For those utilising the Anansi plugin through API with JSON requests, note the following:

  • "shipment": {"plugin_validate_anansi": true}: You can check and validate shipment insurability with Anansi using this key. If insurable, label creation proceeds; otherwise, a 400 status includes Anansi's reason for the failure.
