The primary purpose of the feature is to work effectively with multiple warehouses within a single panel infrastructure and to facilitate the stock management of customers' numerous warehouses.
Setup
First, a multiple warehouse system is a development that works on a sales channel basis. For the system to work warehouse based, you must fill the warehouse field in the brand tab for manual channels and the settings tab for CHAPI channels of the relevant sales channel.
After the relevant field is filled and the sales channel is updated, the system will start working instantly. The allocations will begin to be received from this warehouse or the locations of this warehouse.
Important: After the warehouse is enabled in the sales channel, allocations are received from the warehouse or other linked locations within the warehouse. Therefore, checking the warehouse selection fields of non-warehouse locations may be helpful.
It is enough for our customers who do not want to use the multiple warehouse feature for the relevant channel to leave this field blank.
Allocation Check
There are two scenarios for an order whose warehouse is set in the sales channel settings.
-
Global Allocation Setting Turned On:
- The allocation is automatically taken from the order of the relevant warehouse if the setting is turned on and there is stock inside the inventories.
-
Global Allocation Setting Turned Off:
- If the setting is turned off, no allocation will be taken automatically; the customer is expected to take allocation for the inventory in each order or use bulk actions. In addition to checking the related warehouse stock of the inventory as above, the warehouse where the active user is located is also checked. This selection can be selected from the explain popup screen when you first log in to the system or from the drop-down menu on the right of the top menu. If the order sales channel does not match the user’s warehouse, allocation is not allowed.
Important: After the multiple warehouse system is activated, the previously received allocations in the orders belonging to the relevant channel are not cleared. However, new allocations are checked by warehouse stock management.
Shipping Rules Multiple Warehouse Usage
Important: A warehouse must be linked to the sales channel to which the order is connected to use this feature.
The warehouse selection feature has been added to shipping rules to enable warehouse-based courier services to be selected on the packing terminal side. When you are in the packing terminal, if the sales channel of your order is linked to a warehouse, the system will return the shipping rules with the 'All' selection and link to this warehouse.
In addition, search and filtering features have been added for easy access to the shipping rule page (top of the page).
Assigning Users to Warehouses
In the user setup section under settings, you can assign warehouses to users in the system in bulk. This selection is necessary for the user to be able to select the warehouse where the user is located. Especially if the global allocation setting is turned off, the linked/ located warehouses gain importance.
System Reports
The warehouse and child location selection feature has been added to the (new & old) inventory reports. Thus, the results can be filtered as warehouse or warehouse + child location(s) in the reports received.
